What is harnessPRO?
harnessPRO is wire harness design software that runs in the browser: you draw the schematic, lay out the harness at 1:1 scale, assign real parts and export the bill of materials and the production drawing as PDF. Nothing to install, and your work is saved to your account.
Does it work for race car wiring?
Yes. It is built for motorsport and automotive harnesses: ECU, sensors, Deutsch DTM, Autosport and ASL connectors, M22759 (Tefzel) wire, twisted pairs for CAN, DR-25 sleeving and orientable boots. Change the harness between races and the production drawing is updated instantly.
Is harnessPRO an alternative to RapidHarness?
harnessPRO covers the same workflow as RapidHarness — schematic, layout, BOM and drawing — with nothing to install and your harnesses in the cloud, available on every device. It also imports the PDFs you already have from RapidHarness, one by one or in batches, so you do not start from scratch (import in BETA).
What does harnessPRO export?
A production drawing in PDF with connection tables, lengths, gauges, notes and title block; a bill of materials in CSV or Excel; and the whole harness as JSON for backup or exchange.
How much does it cost? Is there a free plan?
Garage is free forever: 3 harnesses, 50 connections per harness and watermarked exports. Pro is €39/month (€31/month billed annually) and removes every limit. Team is €29 per user/month (€23 annually, 3 users minimum). Payment is handled by Stripe and you cancel from your account.
Where are my designs stored?
In your harnessPRO account, on servers in the European Union. Log in from the workshop, the pit box or home and see the same harnesses, projects and parts library. You can export everything as JSON at any time.
Does it work offline?
Yes. If the connection drops you keep editing normally, and the changes upload as soon as it is back.
Do I need to know electrical CAD?
No. It is a visual editor: drag connectors, join cavities, and the netlist and BOM build themselves. The manual explains every view step by step with screenshots.
Can I use real connectors and wires?
Yes. The Digi-Key catalogue is built in: search a connector by part number and it enters the harness with cavities, gender, manufacturer and price. The library keeps your parts for reuse.
